Jesus Christ - The World's Lighthouse To Salvation

Jesus Christ - The World's Lighthouse To Salvation

What did Jesus imply when He stated that He was the light of the world? Are believers the light of the world also? The first analogy that comes to my thoughts is the lighthouse. The lighthouse is the perfect metaphor for describing the Christian life. The lighthouse is a tall tower constructed on a strong basis with a beam of light that assist with the navigation of ships to the shoreline or harbor mouth. The same objective within the erection of a lighthouse is in shut comparison to the purpose of the believer's life via Jesus Christ.

The lighthouse is a tall tower that's normally built on an island or cliff. They're built close to the ocean; however, placed on a powerful basis above sea level. The lighthouse is used as a refuge to misplaced ships for guidance and safety purposes. The attributes of the lighthouse are much like the hope now we have in our Savior. Jesus Christ got here as refuge to a dying, sin-sick world. We receive salvation by calling on the name of Jesus Christ. That is the only name during which anybody might be saved from an eternal death. His very name is a robust tower because the righteous can at all times relaxation within the security of His love and strength (Psalm sixty one:3). We've to keep our eyes above our circumstances and keep concentrate on our religion in Him. Our God is truth. He's our Rock that is incapable of change. Now we have a strong foundation in God through Jesus Christ which supplies us the peace of mind of everlasting life (1 John 5:11-12).

The lighthouse has a leading beam of light that rotates throughout the water in a unique sample that allows ships to remain focused on their destination and keep away from hazards near the shoreline. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Once we accept Him as Lord and Savior in our lives now we have that very same "light" inside us. We have been sanctified or set apart for His good works to a lost world. Because of the "light" that is now in us, we've turn out to be a peculiar folks (1 Peter 2:9). Our sample of dwelling must be based mostly on the life Jesus Christ exemplified when he lived on the Earth. We are to live our lives in such a manner that the unbeliever can be drawn to the "light" in us and search salvation by way of Jesus Christ. Once we allow our light to shine, it helps others from frequently stumbling in the darkness of this world. Our lives ought to illuminate the eternal hope we now have in serving a loving economy God and deter a dying world from the hazard of being eternally separated from Him.
